This doesn't make sense to me it's an out going payment, why would I assign it to accounts receivable? Then I tried to assign this as payment to the bill, but the only options to assign it are to accounts receivable. I entered the payment in my checking account, including splits from the sub-checking account for the extra payment and splitting out the interest to go to expenses:loan interest. This extra payment is coming from a sub-account under my checking account When I pay the bill, I've tried two different ways, but neither is complete. When I write the check I am also adding an extra amount to it to pay on principle.
